Manga is the equivalent of comics in Japan, however the stories in manga are really different from the usual comic books. They have a wide verity of genres unlike the English comics which are mostly action and are about superheroes. There are manga about crazy super robots, a girl who transforms to a boy, and all kinds of crazy stuff like that. The point I'm trying to make here is that manga are really fun to read and are really diverse, which is why you should try to read some if you haven't done so already.
